Writers' Café

The Writers’ Café is an on-campus writing and meeting space housed in the University of Pittsburgh Writing Center. The Café meets monthly during Fall and Spring Terms. Sessions are facilitated by published writers who discuss craft and lead participants in guided writing exercises. At the Writers' Café, along with tips on publishing opportunities and contests, you’ll get the opportunity to write and share work (if you choose) in a casual and supportive setting. The Café also runs annual contests in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, with cash prizes and the opportunity for winners to read their work on Prosody, WESA’s radio program for writers, hosted by poet Jan Beatty.
