Steffan Triplett

Steffan Triplett is a writer and educator from Joplin, Missouri. He received his MFA in Nonfiction from the University of Pittsburgh and is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where he was a John B. Ervin Scholar.  

Steffan’s work has been published or is forthcoming in VultureLongreadsLit HubElectric LiteratureFenceNepantla: An Anthology Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color (Nightboat Books 2018), Revisiting the Elegy in The Black Lives Matter Era (Routledge 2019), and Sweeter Voices Still (Belt 2020).  

Steffan has been a fellow for Callaloo and Lambda Literary and his work has been nominated for Best of the Net, the Pushcart Prize, and was the winner of the Brutal Nation Prize in Prose. His nonfiction has been a finalist for the Iowa Review Awards and Black Warrior Review Contests, and his manuscript-in-progress was Shortlisted for the 2019 Tarpaulin Sky Book Awards and the 2019 Essay Press Book Contest.
