Brian Broome

Nonfiction
Brian Broome is a K. Leroy Irvis Fellow and is a writer of nonfiction whose work has been featured in The Guardian, Creative Nonfiction, Hippocampus and Medium’s “Human Parts” among many others. He has also been a finalist at The Moth, told stories at Pittsburgh’s own WordPlay, and holds a B.F.A . in Creative Writing from Chatham University.
Brian is a grand prize winner of Carnegie Mellon’s Martin Luther King, Jr. award and a recipient of the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation’s Award for Excellence.
